Hi,
I'm in Brimloch Roon and I need to buy mana, but none of the stores here seem to sell any. Is there some amount of time that needs to go by before one can buy some more after having bought what was there or is it once it's gone it's gone? Thanks in advance! Harley Quinn

You need to buy mana? Do you mean mana potions? All stores have a limited supply of their stock. So if you have bought all of the potions from a shop itīs unlikely you will find any more in that shop. IIRC there was a discussion about editing shop stocks some time ago. I donīt remeber if we came up with anything but ideas though. Of course Wyv could probably tell you how to edit in some potions into your backpack.

Have you, no weapons....aside from your spells
or do you...vanquish your foes...with magic.....and the NPCs as well. I seldom have a need for potions...that late in the game. My characters, regenerate very quickly. You could, however ...Walk...all the way back to the other towns. Unless of course...you bought them out as well.

How about you place a portal on the east side of Brimlock Roon and then head back to Ishad N'Hahahaha and buy potions there?? If you can get even one, I can give you the short info on how to change the quantity in the save file!

Once it's gone, it's gone. But like the others, I haven't had a need for that much mana in the end game. In fact, by the time I'm at Shurugeon Castle, I'm usually dropping the Mana and Mana More potions. They're not worth the inventory slot.
Unless... you're playing a really challenging game and having hit points and so on drained quickly. Even so, there are items of regeneration that you can get. Of course, you might also use your sword more often, or just simply rest once in a while. You are allowed to do that, you know

You drop your mana potions?
You get over 1000 G for Max mana potion in the store! if you take some rusty sword, you'll propably have 2000 G for that, and it takes 3-5 slots for back! ( potions only one ) if you have that much money, that you don't need mana potions ( for selling ) so I ask what you put in your inventory???

Yes, Olli, I drop Mana and Mana More potions. I keep all the Mana Max potions, though -- those can come in handy.
I do it for two reasons -- maybe three, by the time I'm done with this response. First, at the end game, a Mana potion will heal some ten to twenty mana points. That's like putting out a kitchen fire with a glass of water (right, Kev?). You have to drink so many of them that you would only be carrying mana potions. Ditto with Mana More potions. Yeah, they heal more, but by the end game, I've got 400+ mana points in each school. So to heal up, I need something like ten or fifteen mana more potions to get up there. I keep the mana max potions because they're worth it. One of the other bugaboos is that you can't stack the mana potions -- each one has to be carried separately. And arbitrage, as Kev mentions, is the answer to all one's money problems. And yes, I do routinely keep money in the bank -- didja know that you can only keep 10 million gold pieces in a single bag of money? Any more than that, and you'll get multiple bags (assuming you've got the space for it). In the early game, I make my money the old-fashioned way -- I earn it. I buy low and sell high. And I've discovered (as have others) that there's a tremendous market for magical arrows in the Gael Serran. Why, you can by Takekatsu arrows in the Bushi Dojo for 300GP, turn around, and sell 'em for close to 2000GP. Just do that a few times, and you'll see your money problems go away. Later on, you can learn the fletchery skill, which is your ticket to the easy life. Just give a magical arrow to someone with that skill, and they'll keep making more of 'em as you wander around. Enchant 'em, and they're even more magical. A fully blessed Dragon arrow (+10 or so damage) is worth about a million GP. Sell a quiver of fifty, and you can train as much as you'd like for a very long time... All the details are in the best tips thread, truly one of the best things about this board. They don't have one on the BG board... and I'd really like to see one.

G'day harleyquinn,
Why don't you do as Bungleau suggests & rest to get your mana back. It should only take a short time at this stage of the game. Maybe you need to spend some points on sorcery? Whilst you are resting fletch a few enchanted arrows then. Arbitrage, arbitrage, arbitrage.

haha, abritage (or watever it is spelled as) seems to be the most common money-making device here in W&W.
i, too, dun find a use for those measly little mana and mana more potions, and tend to toss them away if i need space for other stuff...... olli, for me, i always keep stuff like the assasin's dagger n the "spoils of war" if u get wat i mean ! lastly, i didnt know a fully enchanted dragon arrow could cost so much.......maybe i should go try it out! thx for the info bungleau!
