Castle Shurugeon(chain puzzle)

I've been pulling skull chains with the hint book right in front of me, but no luck. (Not that the hint book is that much help! If the print and maps and diagrams get any smaller, I'm going to have to buy a seeing-eye dog to read it for me!) According to the book it should be right/left, right/left going from closest sets of skull chains first,and pulling inside/outside, then outside/inside chains alternately. But the last inside chain won't stay down. And the first pulled chain is still up also. Is there another final chain I can't find or is the book wrong again? Please help! Spoil me! Thanks E.

Here is how I did it:

THe last chain you need to pull is at 11:00 as you face the vault - go around the room clockwise pulling all the other chains - go counterclockwise and pull and chains that have gone back up, check the chains one more time and correct any that have gone back up. If they are all down - pull the 11:00

Worked for me the 2 times I've played through that section of the game!
