So, if everything French is to be renamed Freedom, that means that Masklinn and Lasher and me are now the Freedom people ...

This is an insult to all french that stood and fought against the invader.
Also you can't tell me for sure that you would fight yourself if your country was being invaded.

And you don't get a seat in the UN for your ability to fight or to win a war !
You're right Masklinn, it was an insult, and that whole post of his is best described as a bunch of ill considered rubbish. As Moiraine pointed out, seats on the UN security council did not evolve from WWII.

Australia may be my native land but it is a minnow as a military power - the same cannot be said for the permanent nations on the UN security council.

G'day

can I just but in and remind everyone that the enemy here is Saddam and any other evil dictator or terrorist that threatens the world.

Back on topic the French fry is so called because even the British would be ashamed to put their names against such a crap item of so called food. A real chip is 5 times the mass, covered in salt AND vinegar *looks at the Dutch* and is not covered in mayonnaise

Hugs the French and American members of IW and reminds them of the first paragraph. Evil is our enemy not friends with a different opinion.

But of course and none of that balsamic whatever vinegar either.

Now because the British chip is 5 times the mass of a French fry, to fill yourself up on fried chips is considerably healthier than the French fry. Due to less surface area of fat per mouthfull.

Leaving the so-called unsophisticated British taste bud able to detect the type of potato used. Lincoln, Pontiac ECT.

Are you meaning the vinegar, the mayonaisse, the french fry, the chip, or the so called "freedom fry"?

Woot ! Nice, very nice. Let me give you the next steps :

- Burn french flag in public
- Throw away all french ppl and industries established in the USA or in UK
- Kill them on sight if they resist
- Declare war
- Invade them
- Exterminate them

Then the problem will be solved, won't it ?

Seriously, it's the best alternative.
Ok, I realize you might be exaggerating for effect, but I found this in very poor taste. I don't recall ever saying we should kill anyone of French origin and I don't recall anyone here saying so and if they did, I'd like to see it, because it would be uncalled for!!! As uncalled for as your 'joking?' about it above.

I'm sorry, Masklinn, but sarcastic nastiness is wrong on both sides and seeing this from you uspets me. I had thought you were a more fair minded and thoughtful person than that and somehow it bothers me greatly that you would post this. Please tell me it was just a fit of frustration that brought this on... If so, I can understand, and am truly sorry that you were brought to that point.

D'oh Cloudy

I've just tried to put this all back on a happier track [img]graemlins/braveheart.gif[/img]

Now Masklinn and all, are we at least agreed that Mayonnaise should not be allowed within 3 metres of a fried potato
