Damn its gonna be hard to wait that long...
All the problems that you guys see on screens are unlikely to be when game comes out. If its coming out in december they are like half way finished or something. Arghhhhhhhh

Well, 'good things come to those who wait'
But if they pull another Pool of Radiance job, then...I will literally go over there and force them to play the game themselves.
Anyway, what else can we do but complain? Maybe I'll see some of you in the net when Never Winter Nights comes out.

Speaking about Net playing. Anyone out there who plays IWD or HoW over Gamespy or something? I'd be interested in joining a Clan of that sort or something.

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

This is really not good. They need to get this game out soon, before I explode with anticipation. And if it doesn't come out...somebody at Interplay will be eating a .50 caliber sandwich.

Do you have any idea that it might turn out just like Pool of Radiance: Myth Drannor, todays Ubisoft D&D title? Well I do, at least I know there is a chance. So perhaps you should calm your eager waiting , for you dont know what lies ahead m'lad...

@Durwyn, it's a far safer bet than PoR II. First, Bioware has a rep for producing solid products without skimping design. Second, the developers haven't gone through several shifts of corporate management in their publisher. Third, as attention-getting as NWN is, Bioware would never release it without first putting it through strenuous gameplay and balance testing. Fourth, the game is done, so it's not a case of being rushed out the door.

Exactly, fable. BG I was quality, Planescape was quality, Icewind Dale was quality, BG II was quality...why would NWN be any different? PoR is a completely different company, even if it was *trying* to use the AD&D system.

My deal is I'm planning on running a server for the game. I have put a lot of work into getting it ready to go by the time the game comes out - which seems to continue being pushed back further and further. Basically I've designed a complete mini-setting for the game. Also, I'm in the Army...and if it comes out in Fall 2002 rather than Spring or Summer 2002, then I'm gonna be out in the woods for an extended period of time. So I won't get to put my server up for a long time...this is really getting frustrating.

Desslock on Gamepsot has speculated that it might be YEARS before we see this one, if ever. This sucks more badly than any RPG industry development in awhile, but we've got to face facts, people.

Actually, Bioware owns Neverwinter Nights, they are producing it. Interplay was only going to publish it (Make the boxes, PR campaign, etc), but they said this Month that this Law suit would NOT change the release date of 2nd Quarter 2002.

Remember when I told you all way back I said I bet it wouldn't be out until March 2002? I have contacts at Bioware, and have spoken to them about this: they say all is on schedule. they HAVE been adding to the single player story, but that is done now. But get this-- Bioware is still forwarding PR Requests to Interplay FOR Neverwinter Nights.. THAT is odd. Maybe they are working this out..

I SURE as hell hope so, if NWN is delayed until Aug, it's Vaporware.

Ziroc,

what is "projected" release date for NWN IF they stick to their schedule then?

I plead guilty to spreading the September 2002 information .... but I've seen that date listed in NUMEROUS places.

My apologies to anyone who blew a fuse based on that post.
