Where, may I ask, did you find the Horn of Kazgoroth? I'm pretty certain it's not available in BG2.

At the very beginning of the game I found the Horn of Khazgarot (spelled sg like this). I sold this item and earned something like 8,000,000 gold with this. After this I could repurchase the item for its normal price (9000). Is this a bug, or is this intentional that players playing with imported characters (from BG 1) get this amount of gold to be able to purchase adequate items (weapons, armor etc.) to face the higher level opponents?

Sounds like the horn of Kazgaroth from BG 1. You been in a fight with a nishruu? There's a bug where they change an items charges to 65500, making them worth several million. It's supposed to have been fixed by the patch.

Actually, you'd be really surprised what items are available inside of BG2 if you use Shadowkeeper to examine the BG2 items list. This Horn of K is still in the list. So are a number of other useful items from BG1 and TOTSC, such as the tomes which can "legally" boost your chars. There's also a couple of other items that appear to be BG2 items that aren't in the strategy guide and cannot be found in the game, such as a Scimitar +2, called The River's Edge (if I recall properly). It's just another simple +2 scimitar, no special abilities.

Thalantyr in BG1 sells it. If you import a character apparently some of your items get spread around the game in place of others.

Scimitar +3, Water's Edge, and you can get it, in the Underdark.
I know there are hundreds of items from BG1 in the game, I was just curious as to whether the acquisition was legal or not! |

The aquisition was absolutely legal. I do not know where I found it exactly but it was somewhere in Irenicus' prison at the beginning. Looks like a nice little bug that fixed my gold problems, though. I do not think I will restart the game avoiding this bug, now that I am in chapter 5.
