Texas? Oh, yea'll, we like Texas too. Especially the guns, it's all about the guns!

I would much rather states pass laws that promote goodwill than make it easier to kill someone. It just seems counter intuitive to our own survival.

My own take is that we already have the right to self-defense. There hasn't been prosecution of anybody shooting anybody else who waaas breaking into their home, etc, in my memory. And that's a long one.

I heard about a law on the table, either for the entire US or for some single state(Might have been Texas.), which basically stated that you had the right to use deadly force to defend yourself if you "suspected imminent danger."
In other words: "Man, that dude is looking at me funny, good thing I brought my Colt Anaconda to Wal*Mart!" Did anyone else catch that article? |

It must be a law for a single state. As a whole, the US has been unleashing deadly force at the suspicion of imminent danger for decades.
Seriously though, without a link, i'd find this pretty hard to believe. "Suspected imminent danger" is sneezing without a hanky, AFAIC.

Never get rude in a state where "He needed killin'" is an adequate defense.
