[GW] How to use Signet of Capture ?

Trying to capture some skill. I tried it but doesn't seem to succeed.

A. Use it when I first see the boss ?
B. Use it the moment the boss use the skill ?
C. Use it after the boss use the skill ?

I think you need to use it as he is using the skill. Its all about timing.

Yeah, use it when you see him using the skill.
It can be tricky sometimes though, if he uses a second skill right after the one you want to capture.

It works if you use it after the boss uses the skill.

Edit: this moment lasts about 8 seconds, in otrder to make time for connection lag. Though is should also point out that the time in whic a monster boss uses a skill and the time that your signet goes off are NOT Server-Side occurances/commands they are occuring on your computer and therefore you should be able to quickly enough nab the skill.

Honestly thought I've never attempted using capture signet.

Well its apparently its the only way that you can capture some of the "Elite" Skills.

I'm still not that far in so I havn't seen to amny of these.

Thanks, I'll try again. As always when I use signet of capture my character just stand there. Must be lag or something.

Keep your eyes on the Boss power Bar and watch the lower left hand side of the power bar for the small Icons "pictures" and discriptions of the skill being used. They can change fast so be ready, then when you see the skill you want to capture press the number 1-8 that you have placed the capture sig on.
Now if you see the words "boss not useing the two skills that your qualifed to use" then you won't be able to capture one from that boss.
You can only capture a skill from a boss that is the same profession as you are. That way do can't waist a Capture Signet.

What I do is wait and do the mission or quest and find out where and what boss uses what skill. Then later I come back with henchmen to the same place run and attack the boss using the skill I want and then grab the skill as soon as I see the Icon. After I have the skill so what if I die, I have the skill and I can't loose it once I have it captured and I have no other reason to be there, then back to the game with my new skill. Be careful not to grab general everyday skills that you can get from a skill trainer because that is a big waste of a capture Signet.

Yes! I just got myself a new elite skill. It's Markmans Wager while doing Thirsty River mission.
