I was browsing through the config. pages of BG2:ToB, when I noticed on the 2D & 3D options page there was a button that says "3D Setup". When you click it, it runs a program call GLSetup. It's supposed to detect your 3D accelerator software so you can use it in the game instead of using the default software. Has anyone tried this? I have a cool 3D accelerator called ATI Mobility (M4). I'd like to use it, but I'm unsure if the OpenGL program is any good. Has anyone tried it or know anything about it?

Hmmm that opengl program only downloads the latest opengl program which should detect your card. Well I waited for the "big for my modem" download and then it detected my card and went to check for updates and it turned out I had the latest drivers anyway so didn't do anything. If you enable the 3d stuff, it will use the default opengl drivers available. If you have the latest drivers for your card, you should already have the opengl ones as well. OpenGL is just a video standard that vendors use and most modern cards support it....basically if you have the latest drivers for your card you should already be set up for optimal performance.
