Vi told me of monsters in this town that will steal anything on a party. While I have not encountered these besties, don't want to either. HEHE!! I don't want to trek all the way to Arnika to store these items. Where can I store things (a chest or table) in Trynton and have access to them later?

I know what your talking about...but I cleaned that place out from top to bottom and never had anyone pick my pockets...(that I know of). this game seems to remember a large amount of the items that you leave lying around...aka (I still see cloth tunics on the ground on arnika road from the beginning of the game) but I still wouldn't risk it. Keep the items on you...your not loosing anything. Vi's warning is just atmosphere setting I think

any chest will accept inventory! i haven't had anything disappear from them either.

i keep one in every town, and thank goodness i was foresighted enough to stash ammo in them too!

i have my only portal so far in antone's bedroom in the armory, it has a door that opens and closes, which makes me feel ultra safe. so few doors do that. but i also have one in trynton and once i get thru the mines and figure out what's on the other side, i am sure i will set one up there, too.

oh btw, i dropped test arrows in every place i could buy stuff, and every time i go back, they are still there on the counter swirling around!

I have stored all my extra goodies in a chest in my so called free room in Anika. Storing stuff is cumbersome in that you have to do each item separately but it is worth it. My characters are level 16 - 18 and there has not been any problems with stuff missing or the town resetting and losing everything.

I'm really curious to know what kind of things you store?

Logically, I'd say extra potions and the like. As far as armor, once I get stronger stuff, I sell the rest. Weapons too. I'll keep one or two backups with different qualities (like fire pike) and sell the rest. Though now I'm beating my head against the wall because one of the rune dungeons wants a short staff, and of all things I can't find one anywhere!

So does anyone store anything other than potions and powders?

Just curious,

I've never understood the purpose of storing anything but the really heavy stuff you can't use (yet). I mean, potions? Powders? They barely weigh anything. It's not like there's a maximum number of items you can fit in your party inventory.

On the other hand, that darn silver nugget... THAT needs to be stored.

Sometimes you just dun want to throw or sell away the really good stuff. It took me a lot of trouble finding the excaliber and mindblast rod. Will break my heart if i sell them. My party dun use them though and selling them will make them disappear forever when the storekeep inventory gets refreshed.

i like to store the cool stuff i can't use, also.

i don't have a gadgeteer, but am contemplating taking madras around for a bit, so i am storing all the weird stuff that he might like to play with.

and the really heavy stuff... the silver nugget for sure. but sheesh, barbed arrows weigh a LOT and i hoard all arrows. i go around to every dealer, buy them out, and then make the trip a second time. takes me forever, but it's hard to keep 2 shooters stocked with good arrows.

and i have reached the point now, with all my potions, scrolls, stones and bard instruments, adding any more stuff turns my whole party blue. and i refuse to hobble them with blue weight. that's 25% cut in something or other (speed and damage?). 25% cut in anything is too much in my book.

when i'm in a new area, i don't hop back and forth. it breaks up my concentration. so i just keep collecting everything lying around till i finish the section up. for me, it does add up fast.

why are you looking at me like that?

::breaks down, begging for understanding:: okay. okay. i admit! it!!

i'm a pack rat.

everything else i said is just to cover up my habit.
i can't let anything go.

i love sitting around, going thru my stuff, thinking how i acquired it all, reliving my battles and adventures!!
.pulling out all 12 of the spell casting books i have collected, awaiting the time when all my little dearies can learn the arcane words within. and the sacred tome. i tried to get rid of it once, but my priestess looked so sad, i had to return it to her care.
.then there's my giant polished hogar's tusk, holding it i can hear that huge monster paw the ground and snort!
.looking at my silver nugget, i think of my wild carnival rides thru the mining tunnels that wind thru the mountains.
.twirling my blue feather around, i think of all the hundreds of battles in that horrid swamp! and how, escaping a dozen flesheating slimes who almost completely surrounded me, i crawled up on top of a log to find that enigmatic blue feather with a wondrous ring of sanity next to it.

::sighs:: it's all sir-tech's fault, too. they did this to me.

There IS a maximum number of items you can store in your party inventory. Not sure how many, I'm not going to count them. There's also a bug in which if your inventory is filling up and you have an npc leaving so he/she has to discard personal items into the party inventory. When there's not enough space, the program jumps into desktop. Logged this with the bug team already.
