You'd just have to make sure the Bards were never attacked. [img]smile.gif[/img] ID2 has a maddeningly single-minded AI, and if a monster picks on a weak party member, you have to move heaven and earth to get it off his or her tail...

I had a barbarian-bard in one of my parties. The bard side was only for singing, he had a charsima of 10. He didn't do half bad, with lingering song. Sing, fight a couple rounds, sing, fight a couple rounds. The only problem was it took some micro management, which got tedious after awhile. I didnt beat the game with that party though, hard drive crash
