Found the link. (Google search for the name and it's at Mud Master -- duh! I should have tried that first.) Anyway, in case anyone else is interested: http://www.mud-master.com/dalekeeper/

I've never tried this, but maybe it would make your Monk kick:

In SOA only humans can be monks, in IWD2 anyone can. So rather than create new avatars for the different raced monks, Bioware tried claiming that they no longer had the resources to create new avatars that would be needed for kung fu dwarfs and halfling etc. If thats the case then when where did all the new avatars for the new baddies come from? hook horrors, worg riders etc.
The avatars for the new monsters were critical to doing the game. New monk avatars were not.

Furthermore, a hook horror only needs 1 avatar set. A dwarven monk (for example) needs to be able to wield all of the various weapons & shield combo's. Then multiply that by all of the various races and genders.

The BG2 monks were human only and could not wield 2 handed weapons. However, IWD2's 3e monks are legally allowed to wield those weapons and can be of any race, thus the need for vastly many more avatar. And the reason that BIS did not have the resources to create them.

I tested the "monk kick" link I gave over the weekend with a new party. It works perfectly, I now have a kicking Monk! So it can definitely be done and it wasn't all that painful.

I am playing with a monk, too, but I guess that kind of thing just doesn't bother me.

Maybe I got spoiled from the very cool animations the NWN monks had But I am glad to have gotten away from the "boxing" IWD II Monk with the sorcerers.net hack.
