I exposed and buried the dopplegangers but still only faced 1 dragon at a time.

Web, entangle and all your usual tricks to slow down the enemy. gang up on one wyrm at a time. They should go down pretty quick. Then gang up on the dragon. I managed both the dragons first time through without reload Had help from a couple of summon undead though. Could be just a fluke, but after facing BG2 dragons these little ice lollies are a joke. I did use the "wilderness" skill to find out that the dragons were here before hand, and so had a chance to spell protect the party.

HEHE....I got through last night! Hmmm, so why didn't you all warn me that it wasn't worth it! LOL Not much treasure for that big a fight and the next map....ouch!

I ended up buffing everyone up, my cleric put minor elemental protection on the Paly and Barbarian, as well as recitation and bless for the whole party. Added bull str to the fighters, haste as well. The Paly did smite evil, the bard added protection from evil. We had all the protection and bless type spells we had then I sent them in and let my mage loose with flame arrows on one dragon while my bard hit it with magic missile several times and conjured up some mini fodder for the wyrms. My rogue got a few good critical hits (and some sneaky stuff) in then Cleric (protected by the divine shell spell) called up a zombie lord and a minotaur and we killed Dragon # 1 fairly easily. Rushed out of the cave, rested, did it again. This time the Dragon was harder to take down and they bunched up on us, but we did it AND the wyrms all in one try. Whew! I do feel like we accomplished something, at any rate!

Now about the hook horrors...ACK!

Sazeriffic? *giggle*

The hook horrors didn't like my elven mage's Sunfire spell too much. I got rather miffed at the ochre jellies, though.

Hook horros? They are quite easy to take care of; if you use the right tactic.

After the initial battle, gathered all your parties near the door to the dreugars (?). Switch all of them to use missile weapons and cast "animate dead". About 4 to 5 undeads should be enough to do the job. Put all the undeads to the front and block the enterece. Send out a scout (thief is the preferred class) to explore the area ahead. This will trigger waves of waves of hook horros to search out the rest of parties (oh, remember to set the thief to hide in shadow of he/she will be the primary target). The hook horror will be blocked by the undeads by the enterence and while the udeads are busy killing the hook horrors, pounce them with plenty of arrows, bullets and blots.

Oh, if available, remember to cast mass haste (or was it improve haste?) on the undeads too.

Question Mark

But where can we rest down there? It's getting ridiculous, I've had at least three swarms of the hook horrors already and we're fresh out of spells!

Cloudbringer, just retreat back to where you came from and back to the cave above.

Thanks Paladin, I'll try that. I didn't see the exit (stair icon) come up the last time I went that way so I figured it wasn't possible!
