An opinion is needed..

If I created a single handed long sword mod that cause awesome damage with awesome enchanted magic on it. however, it also cause some side effect like : when you wield it caused 300 damage to your hp and it will also constantly drain your 10 hp per second.

Will you wield this sword when you get it or you just throw it in your pile of other loots? and why?

Well, i for one would not use such a sword. Why ? Because there are plenty powerful swords outthere that DON'T damage you while wielding it. What's the use of creating such a thing ?

It sounds a bit like that thing you need to defeat Dagoth Uhr. It may be powerful and all, but i only use it during that particular battle, after that it's useless to me.

Are you crazy man?! Sunder is *the ultimate* hammer! I don`t know how well Keening stands up but there is *no other* hammer (or long sword!) that beats Sunder. Plus you wear the wraithguard (why would you ever take that off?!) so the negative aspect is cancled. It was all made by the dwarves! Dwermer! Lost gods of science! Crazy man!

About the sword - no I probably wouldn`t use it because I`m sticking with Sunder until I reach the point that I kill people by simply hitting them.

I see, so my deduction is : people who download any weapons mods out there don't actually use them but only throw it into their pile of other loots. which makes you wonder, why do they download any weapons mods in the first place?

Here's the so called single handed long sword that I had in mind. notice that damage it caused to monsters. and also notice I used script ( nearly 2 pages long ) to write the side effect it caused.

I wouldn't use it - there are plenty of big weapons around and the game is fairly easy with those.

However, countering the effects of that sword wouldn't be difficult: just wear a constant restore health 10 pts item, and never unequip the weapon.
Without this trick the sword is useless: it should be equipped when needed and unequipped when not in combat, but the 300 hp whack prevents you from doing that - useless.

I wouldnt use it either. Theres no need to have to deal with such bad side effects when you can just use another sword which covers all your needs.

cool, I realise I could make a quest out of this sword. I mean all i need is a script that will make players unable to unequip the weapon once they wield it. thus the ghost of previous owner who appear and off you to a quest.
