what do u guys think is the best class to pick on SOA. i havent played TOB yet though i want to get it soon (o yeah is it worth getting?). i like the barbarian so far...some of the classes look alright, but they dont look like they would do well in a boss fight ie bard. well guys go ahead and tell me some of your ideas.

Well I like F/M's.... there are lots of good tactics that can be used with F/M's and Tensers Transformation makes you a godly fighter

Very good class but what about the druid that morphs into baby wyverns and what not . I put a fighter build on one hoping it will work good. Hope i remembered to make her human so she can be a fighter too .

I would say a sorcerer. I've just soloed one through SoA, and nothing could stop him. Time Stop, Project image, Abi-Dalzim's Wilting Horror! Those spells can take out nearly everything!! Thiefs can be good characters though with their backstaping and trap setting.

Party:
Assassin or Fighter/Thief: lot of tactics, BACKSTAB!!!, very useful as there are no good theif NPCs in the game, "use any item" in ToB. Solo: Fighter/Mage (dual at beginning) You get a fairly good fighter and all the fun of a true mage. Fighter or Barbarian may be nice, but if you solo it can get extremely boring.

There is no best character. A character is what you make of him. And, that's why you have a party of six. Everybody completes himself.
But I have to say that I had an elven archer whith a very very very low thaco that could kill anything.
