grr! Morrowind is very slow and freezes all the time(it froze 3 TIMES in about 20 minutes!). i cannot play it like this. is there any way to stop the game from freezing?

better puter fix it prolly

could also try going in 800 by 600 instead of the higher res
and turn off a bunch of other stuff

actually, i have everything on minimal and the game is still slow as hell while Dungeon Siege works perfectly well in my computer

I hate to say it, but try updating the video drivers... Main advice over alot of forums, including elderscrolls.com forum...

It helps considerably. It has alot to do with driver compatability with certain aspects of DirectX 8.1 (and ya gotta use this version to run MW.

Hell, once I updated, not only did MW run smoothly, Dungeon Seige ran so much better, even with details all turned up....

try look at some other threads on performance tunning, some stuff includes:

defrag your HD, turn Sound FX down, run it with No-CD crack, update vidoe/audio drivers.

you should look at the official board for some tunning tip as well. But again, for some people it was never playable...
