have your thief place as many traps as possible around the dragon too. they will hurt him BAD as soon as the battle starts.

Get the shadow dragon wardstone
place a mage behind the dragon and all your fighters behind it
cast lower majic resistance on the dagon (this lowers its own)

yesss. i killed the shadow dragon.. did not even go back to town for arrows.. but 2 out of my 3 npc's died... so i went to church.. [img]smile.gif[/img]

(this may be somekind of a spoiler,) so i went to the blacksmith and made my selfe a nice jacket of the dragons skin

Sorry to do this here, but where exactly is the shadow dragon? I remeber seeing him earlier in the game, but I just walked by him, and now I can't remeber where or when.

When you do the Umar Hills-quest, you will get the new area Temple Ruins. There the dragon guards the entrance to the Shade Lord.

The Dragons in SoA and ToB as far as I know

White Dragon
Shadow Dragon
Red Dragon
Black Dragon
Silver Dragon
Green Dragon

maybe a Blue dragon not sure

If you play a second time through and really know the strong sides of all your characters it should be possible to beat the Shadow dragonm at level 7/8
for the first time
It's good if you can kill him at level 12

BG2 dragons - the Definative (ish) list:

White Dragon - nope
Shadow Dragon - one
Red Dragon - two.
Black Dragon - one
Silver Dragon - one
Green Dragon - two
Blue Dragon - one
Amethyst Dragon - one
Drakes (Dragon Children) - six

That includes extra dragons added by the Baldurdash improved boss fights.

there has to be a white dragon in TOB!in the manual says something about white dragon scales!

There isnt a White Dragon.

You get the White Dragon scales in WK. There already detached from the Dragon.
