Question Mark

i haven't a clue what nathan's comp's specs are, or mine either, cept i know mine is an intel celeron and runs fast than his.

growing up my family's first comp was an atari (not the game system the computer. i think 800xl?) then came the commador64.

currently my comp is not running tho, we think i may need a new mother board, or a new processor

Kingston ram, nice. That musta cost u a bomb. The kingston i saw 1gb stick was like £300
Actually, it wasn't. A personal friend of mine is a PC-hardware retailer

And thanks for correcting me: it's obviously 1GByte of DDRAM, not 1GHertz ECC 8 DEVICE RIMM NO RETURNS RAM, which is completely redundant at the time of this writing. I guess that in a year of so, it becomes standard equipment, but not now.

just remove 400mhz (or was it 200mhz? ) to your amd to make it P4 intel

mine is 2000xp-400mhz so its P1.6 intel.

so yours must be 2.6 intel or something

Yeah, but ..... whats the point? I have an AMD, not a P4!
just telling so you guys can figure out more or less your speed of your computer in regards to AMD and Intel

lol, i also have 3 computers (well there not all mine) but i can assure u, u dont have the worst comp. OK so two of my tree comps suck! This one is good and I just recently upgraded it so it runs well and I would class it as a high end machine. The other two however have 2gb harddrives, like 128mb or 64mb ram and im not sure what the mhz are but i think one is like 250mhz, the other one is a bit higher though. SO i think i have the lowest (although i dont actually use those two)

I have absolutely no idea. The only one of those I could answer is that we have 256MB ram because I had to buy more to play morrowind. I think we have a pretty good computer, but I dunno what the specs are

Why would you do that? The AMD's are labelled in P4 equivalancies, ie a 3000+ is at least as fast as a 3ghz P4. Interestingly enough, the AMDs run at a much lower clock speed to achieve this.

My compuer is strange. It's a pentium II 333 celeron, but I pushed it to the max, so it has 384 megs of RAM, and an ATI 128 megs dual tv-out. I have two hard drive. A 4 gigs for windows and drivers, and a 30 gigs for everythign else.

I can play any games with it so far, including Warcraft 3 (with every graphic setting to the max), Arx Fatalis (with a good resolution but the other setting in the middle), and Morrowind (but I'm keeping it at 800x600 max so far).

Ironically, the only game my computer can't take is Pool of Radiance 2.

Resolution is the least demanding visual option of Morrowind. View distance, AI distance, shadow detail are much more demanding.
