Not just for all the people here although it factors in but also because being the forget-nik that I am, I forgot when I brought my puppy home and consequently didn't know about how old he is now (for shots and neutering purposes). It dawned on me I could do a search here since I did at least remember posting about him when I got him and, lo & behold, I need to make his next appointment at the vet soon.

Hey it worked!! LOL!
I am not as bad with being forgetful lately as I have been in the past and I am thankful for that but I just couldn't get the puppy info back! I brought him home as a stray, so there are no receipts or paperwork around to have clued me in. Sooooo glad I realized I could find it here!

Here's a kind of new (July 1st) pic of "Hercules".
We decided he is a German Pitpei LOL.
His favorite past-time these days is herding Tiger (one of our cats) around the yard until he gets him into a position where he can chase him over a fence.
I think they both get a kick out of it, although I suspect Tiger spends a lot of time trying to figure out how he can take a good swipe at Herc without getting bitten. Little does he know Herc just does it for fun. I saw him tonight chase Willaim (another cat) and then he just sat down right behind him and waited while William (oblivious to the fact that he was being chased) went over the fence.

What a beautiful dog Moni, certainly not a puppy anymore. Glad that you found your info on Ironworks.

Thanks everyone!
He should be just around 6 months old about August first.
He is a big puppy and may look big here, but truth be told, he still does not reach my knee in height (does it help that I am long-legged? no! )
He does have big feet so I am still hoping LOL.
We know he is a mutt but on the plus side, he is extremely smart, very lovable and makes an excellent watchdog...he wouldn't let Rex's other grandpa in the back yard today lol...even we thought he would bite the man!

So glad I brought him home!

P.S.
ADAM! LOL! I just noticed the text under your sig! Thanks you so much for the credit but you don't have to have or keep that there! All I did was re-size it!
Hugs!!!

Nah, Moni, absolutely nothing German about that dog of yours: he looks much too nice and friendly for that !

LOL Ramon!
We were thinking he might be a German Shepherd mix because of the coloring of his coat (white toes excluded) but he is so danged short for having such big feet! During one of his growth spurts, he actually got really long before he got tall and looked like some freak daschund!
Everyone who sees him face to face says there is definitely something pit bull about his eyes (even though he has a long jowl) but then he has all this extra skin, once you get up to his forehead and back that seems to be charpei. He certainly has the charpei instincts and the intelligence to equal any of the three breeds. We just know absolutely nothing of his bloodline and are left to only guess.
This pic shows up really clear in Netscape as opposed to IE! Anyonw know why that is? Isn't IE supposed to be the better browser or is that said just because Netscape is so derned slow?

I used to be deathly afraid of dogs until I met my brother in law's German Shepherd...that dog had such a human look in his eyes. He was an excellent companion to me for many years as I got to keep him at my home for quite some time before he developed a tumor in his tail and was sent to Phoenix for surgery. After his surgery, I went to visit him and he ran up to me in the yard after he made a very audible "Awww!" sound upon seeing me, and jumped up on me hugging me so tightly around the neck!!!! I have never had a better friend in any dog and doubt that I ever will.
