An INT score of 13 should be sufficient to get any combat feat. Note that some of them has a DEX and STR requirement as well.

One thing about Ranger/Clerics; 3rd edition DnD is very different from 2nd edition, so while this multiclass is very good in the IWD and BG games, it's not necessarely so in NWN. If you are expecting to get all Cleric and Druid spells like you can do in BG2, you will be disappointed as both the Cleric and the Ranger class has their own spell list. It's still a viable class combination, of course, but I just wanted to point this out.

Same goes with Fighter/Wizards (Mages), good in 2nd Ed., not so much in 3rd Ed.

Hmm, so there's a lot of changes I have to get used to... I'll pick 'em up along the way, I guess. By the way, do people join your group permanently as NPCs? Bim's brother joined my fighter but he said he would leave after escaping the academy. Do they only stay for a certain time?

Bim's brother only joins you for the tutorial, the henchmen in chapter 1 onwards will join you for as long as you want them to.

No, the HotU henchmen don't stay with you as long as you like, but there are always replacement henchmen available.
