I was first called Spela because it's my name, but then I was away for a while, and I lost the password and the email got cancelled, so I made a new one with Spelca (basically a cute version of my name).
Oh, and I've been using it since 1982 so .

Mine comes from the protagonist in "The Silent Tower" and "The Silicon Mage"
which are by Barbara Hambly. A great read and I reccomend both of them.

Shakespeare's Hamlet.

"Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow
of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath
borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how
abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at
it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know
not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your
gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment,
that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one
now, to mock your own grinning? quite chap-fallen?"

First used it when I first went online back in 1994? 95? Sometime back then.

It comes from my preferred D&D based class of paladin/cleric.
Used online since '98.
Yes, I thought about changing it after 9/11--decided the terrorists can change theirs instead.
