This was in the BGII room but I brought it here too.

At what level should duel my fighter to a mage? I am currently in BGI and want him to primarly be a mage for BGII. He is currently a Level 5 Fighter. At what Level should I duel him ? I was thinking Level 6 or maybe use the Exp cap from BGI and duel him then as I have ToSC and he could still gain EXP. What should I do?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was told this

If you want to achive level 17 as a mage get to level 9 then duel.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also What is the highest Lvl Fighter I can get to with ToSC? and if I get him to Lvl 9 will I also be able to reach Mage Lvl 9 befor the final battle?

Heh, you're doing the exact same thing as I'm doing right now with my character. I was going to wait till Level 9 myself though before dualing over to Mage.

In BG, you'll hit the ep cap of 161,000 (w/TotSC installed) before you're fighter reaches level 9 (250,000 ep). I'd just keep the character as a fighter thru BG/TotSC, then import the character into BG2 and then dual him after you've reached level 9. You want to put some weapon proficiency points into a weapon that your 2nd character class will be using while working his way up the level ladder... a dc fighter/mage with a grandmastery of staffs and specialized in slings could be interesting.

On the other hand, if you want to dual class in BG, do it at level 6 to maximize your benefits.
