Well, I'm only a beginner. I'm hoping to do some water skiing as well, if I can find a lake that slopes!

Donut,

Mixed up aren't you - how did a gooner ever learn to appreciate cricket?

(And before you reply - I don't support my home-town team)

No not Manc (spit) - did you appreciate the FA cup final?
Note how I don't just say _the_ cup final - after all there were 3 this year

And while I'm in full flow - I haven't heard anything from Davros lately. I thought he might want to discuss the Socceroos performance. I think I'm turning Japanese.
Davros wanders in, reads Donuts jibe and shrugs his shoulders (knowing that his time will come on this Ashes tour ) - I guess we weren't playing Western Samoa this time hey!!! Pretty disappointing for a game we dominated from all reports. I see we have sent half our team home to weddings too, before playing Brazil for 3rd place. Still, did I mention we beat the WORLD CHAMPIONS .

So glad you made it Davros Yes you mentioned it. While you are here can you clarify something for me. The British and Irish Lions are playing Western Australia at the moment. I thought this was a Rugby match but 24-0 after 22 minutes looks more like a cricket score. How can this be?

I was about to mention the Lions but you beat me to it.

How's this for a summer

England win one day series (pakistan 2nd, Australia 3rd)
England win back the Ashes
then top it with a Lions whitewash.

Sounds good?

Gee, talk about an AMBUSH - were you guys just waiting for me to poke my head out of the water. For the record, West Australia is to Rugby as America is to Cricket (ie, not up to the task just yet). I wouldn't be surprised in a cricket score, after all South Africa walloped them hugely a year or two ago.

It's a tactic - you attract stronger crowds to the bigger games by having the general public believe that the Lions might be competitive against the Wallabies. The Lions also have the advantage of home conditions tonight - it's colder and wetter than a November morn in Blighty . That's why I'm home here, rugged up and warm - where is that cider (starting to get a taste for this).
