well i have seen a lot of posts from Americans claiming us Europeans hate them as if there's some jumbo conspiracy - some have even claimed we envy them LOL!!

so pardon me if i considered what looked like another dig to be the last damn straw

add that to posts about how much better people Americans say they are compared to Europeans and i get narked [img]tongue.gif[/img]

There was the America thread a while ago where someone posted saying they hoped something nasty would happen to Europe so America could just turn their backs to us! THANKS!
Ranger, my point is that America is not free from hatred or bigotry either.

Some eroupeans hate us. Some Asains hate us, some Austrialans hate us. Does the majority? Probably not.

I have to look no futher then this board to prove my point. And I do think jealousy is the case SOMETIMES.

And of course the US is a perfect gracious neighbour who could learn nothing from any part of Europe. We all want to be like the US. Having so much confidence in ourselves and our country that it borders on arrogance and nationalism in most of the cases I've seen.

Indeed, I remember that, I know who the member is. But I will refrain from dropping names. He also said you misinterputed his point. And you did. I cant remember the entire ordeal. But I do remember it wasnt that linear.

Of course America is not free from that. This has gotten so far off topic anyway.

I don't recall ever reading a thread where anyone claimed that an american was a better person than a european. I have seen some people confuse the issues of people and governments. Governments are usually what I have seen being bashed. I have seen examples made of this country or that, and I suppose since the comparison is made to illustrate a point, the person/s on the wrong end of the stick could get a bit miffed.

Most of the eroupeans in this thread have turned this into another America vs Eroupe thread. 90% of the time that happens. Why?

Edit: Let me edit this in before some one gets offended. I didnt mean that last statment in an offensive way. Its just the way it came out.
