Are these any good? I just started "Elfshadow," and I don't know what to think. It's alright, I guess, but as I said, I've just started these books.
Are they worth reading?

I read the whole series... they were okay. I joyed the dark elf books better. If you want real fantasy reading enjoyment, get away from the TSR books, read Ursula LeGuin or Tolkien or CS Lewis

Quite solid for Forgotten Realms/TSR books, but that isn't necessarily saying much. I read them all and enjoyed them, but they aren't the type of books I re-read or rave about to my friends.
I thought some of Cunningham's other books were superior to these. -Starlight and Shadows series(featuring drow and berserkers ![]()

who would you rate as the others? I enjoyed troy Denning's work on the Dark Sun books, but not his time of Troubles books (written under a different name) seemed too much of trying to fit gaming rules into a novel and explain away mechanics as integral parts of the world, sometimes it works best if you ignore mechanics in the game when you write a book).
And Salvatore is good in one or two books but when it becomes a series past 3 books he seems to lose his direction (I count the homeland/exile/sojourn trilogy as a seperate beast from the Icewind Dale trilogy), and the Cleric Quintet was mostly good. as well.

I've read 3 or 4 Harper books so far and they were all very good.

Most Harper books are very good as the characters stay fresh. They are not overused in hundrends of books making us grow tired of them. Really enjoyed "Crypt of the Shawdow King".

I read Elfshadow, and found it to be very good.
Only problem is that now I am a little sick of elves and their arrogance...for an elf lover like me, that is saying a lot...
