GR: You should put up more of your poems/lyrics, I liked that one. I think we could handle. If you care to run them by me first, I would be honored.

Ryan, Paper Cut was simply another well crafted piece of poetry. Well done.

Djinn. Have liked yours very much indeed. More when you can.

Grid! Your last one was great, absolutely great imagery.

Lioness, very nice (Jerome, great interpretation)/

Baby Bro, getting around to you on the e-mail.

This one is a song for my sister Heather - she played the Highland Pipes

The Piper

You painted ghostly seagulls in shades of gray on white on gray
We wandered by the sea to watch them fly
We lay upon our backs to watch the birds catch the wind
And drift in shifting patterns cross the sky
Sometimes I feel the cool touch of sea mist on my face
I turn my head into the wind
I hear your voice in the calling of the gulls
But the piper called the tune and you were gone

And you were gone, and you were gone.
You caught the wind and drifted far away
The piper called the tune, and you were gone

Moonlight on the water paints the waves in shades of gray
Hills like shadows dark against the sky
You played the piper then, your music caught the wind
In song so strong it nearly made me cry
But the rhythm of the waves and the calling of the gulls
Wove a magic that faded with the sun
I heard their echo when we played you to your rest
When the piper called the tune and you were gone

And you were gone, and you were gone.
You caught the wind and drifted far away
The piper called the tune, and you were gone

Christmas Eve and fallen leaves dance among the standing stones
I brought you flowers again
I rested for a while by your name carved in stone
And I sang you Christmas carols in the rain
Sometimes you catch a moment like a diamond in the sun
Hold it in the palm of your hand
Never let it go, you don't know the time and tide
When the piper calls the tune and you'll be gone

And you were gone, and you were gone
You caught the wind and drifted far away
The piper called the tune and you were gone
And you were gone, and you were gone
I hear your name upon the wind
But the piper called the tune and you were gone
And you were gone, and you were gone
You drift across the clouds in my mind
The piper called the tune, and you were gone

Bahamut - that poem about the paper cut was excellent. Sorry if I am reuaising compliments here, but I really mean it. And yes - I know how it feels to be cut deep so it hurts like hell but no one can see the bleeding. There are layers within layers in that poem.

Here is a poem. I did up for a certain Lady.

My hope, my love, we will go
Into the woods scattering the dews,
Where we will behold the salmon, and the ousel in its nest,
The deer and the roe-buck calling,
The sweetest bird on the branches warbling,
The cuckoo on the summit of the green hill;
And death shall never approach us
In the bosom of the fragrant wood.

So come, give me your BLOOD!

Another song. Mabye I will just leave this to a poem though

Black Roses

Stone to brick, Sand to Glass, Water to Ice, Me to me, You to You

I Don’t really care, you don’t need to know. You can say a love, I can say I hate. I don’t really know, where are you now?

Responsibility, a never ending test, Hole Heartedly I say I love this nest

Time will go, Water will flow, Dust will fly, Black Roses will die.

Stone to brick, Sand to Glass, Water to Ice, Me to me, You to You. Red fades to black. What’s in the sack? Curoisty killed the cat.

If you have it I don’t want it.

Haven’t thought about it. Aint thinking to clearly. Busy days. Just for fantasy.

The Piper was really good Kiwidoc!
Victor...I love that you mentioned Salmon in your poem.
I have tried to do this several times but it has never turned out.
What a great line that was...
Here is one that has no name like most of mine. I rarely name them...only
if they demand it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brightest bright
That Daystar light
Raining down upon my world
Celestial love
From above
With nuclear force you’re hurled
O’ Golden photon from on high
What cosmic path didst thou try
To reach this orb still lit?
Through lunar trails
And mathematic tales
Our gardens ground you hit
Sightless seeds become unfurled
Twinkling flashes upturned curled
Spawned into this airy sight
All things thus come a perfect fit
To pattern such a woven knit
Add spinning planet creating night
A simple time to quietly lie
Before we sleep and question why
To dream of where reality hails
That’s the place my universe sails…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am real
And I dream otherwise
"Good morning to you Isabel."
"Good morning to you too Ryan."

A dream of a joy-filled life
A dream on where time is non-existent
Void and Null
A smile is made...

"Hey, Bel, wanna got out and eat?"
"Sure Ry, I'd love to."
It sounds so real
But the dream says otherwise

The dream where anything happens
As long as your will binds you to it
Locked, trapped in a world
You never want to ever let go

"Ry, I have something to tell you..."
"What is it Bel?"
"I think... I think I am.. falling for you."
"Oh, really now, I do think so too on my part..."

The longing fulfilled
In this short, real, not real dream
Time strikes back
And you are awakened.
