I installed NWN. I will install SoU and HoTU tomorrow after I get them. Once I get the entire trilogy installed I plan on installing the HoTU 1.62 patch. IS THIS THE PATCH I NEED? There is a plain NWN1.62, a SoU1.62, and a HoTU1.62. I am assuming all I will need is the HoTU 1.62.
I am planning on installing the CEP hakpak AFTER I have the trilogy loaded and patched. IS THIS THE CORRECT ORDER? I have never played an on-line game before, so I will probably be klutzy getting on the server. Why do we need to post playing time availability? Is the server only up certain times? Also, is the character we create a *server only* character? Is playing free, or do we have to join the server with a subscription? Thanks for any and all answers!!

Run the updater, it will pick up the correct patch by itself.
The hakpak can be put on at any point, but generaly you should get official patches working before hakapaks and modules. Easiest way to get into the server is to get into the multiplayer section of NWN, hit join an internet game, hit direct connect and give it the IP for the server, which is: 24.173.154.114:5121 The playing time posting is just to make it easier to team up with other members, the server is generally up 24/7, although its sometimes down for updating. Characters are local vault at present, although server vault has been discussed. Playing is free.

Which server is prefered by the members here? I will join the server that allows interaction with IW members. Please give the URL to that server.TIA
