Didn't enjoy Dogma too much, my sense of humour is a little different.

12 Monkeys is up there in my top 10 - but have any of you seen 'La Jetee'? It's a French short, made in the '60s - 12 Monkeys is based on it. Great film.

Naked Lunch - good film, seriously weird!

Snatch - a great film (although I can't help snickering at the title LOL) but not as good as Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels which was tremendous, especially the cockney slang subtitled scene.

Moni - is Quills the film about the Marquis de Sade?

Other weird movies I like and would recommend for those who are a bit warped:

Brazil - purely fantastic, very sad

Delicatessen - Oh please please watch this film! It is weird, warped and marvellous

City of Lost Children - another weird one.

The Man Who Wasn't There sounds familiar, I may have seen it already but don't remember (brain damaged...it affects my memory, not to mention getting older doesn't help lol) but American Psycho looks like it would be something beyond my taste completely.

Have you seen "Twelve Monkeys" starring Bruce Willis, Madeline Stowe and Brad Pitt? Bruce Willis plays a convict, sent back in time to stop a devastating plague, but is sent too far back and is hospitalized as insane. Brad Pitts performance in this one is phenomenal.

How about "Snatch" (Brad Pitt again...we just saw this on cable a couple of weeks ago)

Here is a link to Check Out Quills. If this link takes you to a page with Plot Details as a headline, ignore the text and click on the link to the left that goes to "main details" where you can get an overview of the movie without knowing too much before you watch it. The (more) link in the User Comments will take you to the bottom of that same page for a review of sorts without spoiling the story.

This is a cool site. I esp like it that they list taglines (notable quotes) and if you are interested enough in certain actors, a full movie biography in the links to their names.

Have you seen many Johnny Depp movies? He's an excellent actor. One of my favs as far as being able to play a variety of roles and making them believable.
thanks for the link .
i think/hope you would like American Psycho because the movie is not about the killing. it mostly talks about how the man gets more and more crazy and stuff.
Twelve Monkeys.. nah, ive only seen part of it but atleast ive already got it on video and i think ill watch it sometimes.
Snatch.. yeah, ive seen it twice. cool movie!
Brad Pitt is a cool actor. have you seen Fight Club? its awesome!
Johnny Depp is one of my favourite actors. i saw The 9-th Gate and Sleepy Hollow which were both cool. i really hope to see From Hell some day..
ok, my turn.. Have you seen The Usual Suspects? The movie is cool and the ending is very good too. or have you seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels?

Quills~That be the one!

I haven't seen 'La Jetee'.
I do watch the IFC (Independent Film Channel) alot, there are a lot of good movies and shorts (national and international) out there that never see the light of day anywhere else. I forget the title of one of my favorite shorts of all time...it was a stop-animation film with four wooden puppet figures, each on the corner of a floating (flat) square...they were fishing and one reeled in a music box that everyone loved but no one could leave their corner, else they would tip the balance of the square and risk sliding off. One by one they found ways to get the music box and have the guy hoarding it fall off the edge until only one was left, all alone, and the music box was out of his reach...to try to get it would tip the balance too much and he'd fall off too.
Wow, it must have been ten years ago when I saw it the one time (on PBS!) and it still stays with me. I'd love to have a copy of it.

OK
*adding to my list here*
I better start renting some movies! My list is getting big!

You're Welcome!
OK I'll give American Psycho a try
I've seen Fight Club a couple of times, it is an awesome movie!
I recommend "Benny and Joon" to any Depp fan if they haven't seen it. Its a plain kind of story, almost cutsie if you will, but Johnny Depp is brilliant, you'll love it. "Ed Wood" is another

The Usual Suspects I just missed on cable (more than once)
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels...haven't seen that one either, will add them both to the list . Thanks!
