Can't Play, Need Help

For some odd reason, my game is not loading. When I click on my desktop shortcut, I get the Atari, Bioware Corp., Wizards of the Coast, then Bioware and Atari present screens. Then I get a black screen with a hand cursor, no loading screen.

Can anyone help me out? I've never had this problem before. I'm in Chapter 3 and I played yesterday, with no problems whatsoever.

I have Windows XP.

Hiya, too bad you have troubles..

Try this one.
Run the setup again and change the graphic settings to something different and try load again. Unless that works, try to do the update. If that fails.. Save the save folder and reinstall.. :S

Sorry, but I haven´t encountered this problem before.
You could maybe try and do a start from the CD or something.. Just backup the SAVE folder so you don´t loose your games.

Thank you Wolfie. Thought I'd try a restore and the game is working. Seems that I updated Windows XP to the Service Pack 1 and something must be interfering with the game. Anyway, the restore worked and I can play again. Thank again.

The same thing happened to me, but I just had to free up some hard disk space and it was fine. But the movie is a bit screwed. Perhaps I should start a new topic.
