are there any advantages that the dreadmaster monk has over the lathander monk?
i'm curently a dreadmaster and will soon multi class to monk.

They're different. Both are powerfull, but on different ways.

Not to be spoily, a dreadmaster monk will eventually have a higher AC.

so the dreadmaster becoming more of a fighter than a spell caster in contrast to a lathander

With both you are getting a powerful spellcaster with a great armor class. The dreadmaster will wind up with more AC, and IMHO Lathander will have better spells. So, yea.
