July 21 - the day that "mankind kicked the moon".

Of course all my American friends will point out that it happened on July 20 in their neck of the woods, but in my part of the world I was up at 5am on my 6th birtday to witness Armstrong take that giant step.

I always laugh when radio stations run contests along the lines of "do you remember what you were doing early on the morning on this day 20 years ago" etc, because they use the history books July 20, and they are really one day out .
