I'm within one hour of getting the new Nintendo!

Anyone else?

I'm going for the new Zelda and Call of Duty as far as games. I am curious if the shooter expirience is going to change much with the new motion sensitivity and the "nunchuck" control. I have already tried the Excite Truck racing game using the motion sensor controller like a steering wheel, and this was both easy to get the hang of and alot of fun.

Chewbacca, I would love to read any reviews you can give us on how the system works. There are a lot of people excited about the Wii, especially the controllers.

Also, let us know what you think of Zelda. That game by all reviews is looking to be an awsome game.

Here are some intial comments for ya'll:

The controllers are very smooth and intuitive to use. In COD you can flick your wrist with the nunchuck to change weapons and twist the remote real quick to duck to the side. Another nice feature is the sorta punching-style motions to engage in melee.

Some of the moves take practice, but overall are just more fun than anything else in both Call of Duty and Zelda.

Straight-up, The control scheme is not some virtualboy type novelty gimmick, rather my first impression is that it is the most different expirience playing videos games that I think I've ever had.

My first impression of Zelda, suprisingly, is that it seems a bit unpolished, but the first 1/2 hour or so is wicked fun and has a fair share of classic Zelda charm.

Next I'm gonna try the sports game package that came bundled with the system and then try to connect up through my wireless netwrok to download classic games. I'll let ya'll know!

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!

FREAKY STUFF! My friend just got it (he's had it reserved forever) and we spent the last hour playing it. We didn't even break out Zelda.. We're saving that for tomorrow when we're rested... But just the Wii Sports is sick. I'm sitting here thinking, wow, this is it. This is what they told us video games of the future would be like. Virtual reality is just a step away. But yes, this promises to be beyond astounding.

Yeah Wii sports is tons of fun and instantly addicting. I did not expect it to be so physical and to play the sports almost exactly like you actually would play them for real. It is certainly the next level. Hurrah Nintendo!!!!

I have sadly not spoken a word to my friend. I've been in and out of the apartment, but he sits, transfixed, playing Twilight Princess. I fear I won't get near it until he beats it twice... Give it a week.. I hope he remembers to eat.

I am interested in this system for a couple reasons.

1. Price
2. Compatibility with all Nintendo games. Apparently from what I have read it is like having all Nintendo systems rolled into one from the Gamecube down to the original NES.

While the graphics are going to take a hit compared to XBOX360 and PS3 I don't believe the gameplay will and the ability to play some of the classics again is a bonus.

Please let me know what you think of the system.

I am unimpressed by the offers of greater graphics from the other systems. The graphics seem to be all the other systems have to offer. The Wii offers a different way of doing things, and I predict it will have a vastly superior selection of games.
