16 gives the highest number of skill points (4) at a level up possible, without guild training or Ankhs that is. The formula for skill points is INT/4=Skill points. All decimals are rounded down.

1. Do NOT invest into the following attributes:
INT, STR, SPI, PRE The reason is simple: you can improve these attibutes by training in the guilds (INT - Wizard's Guild, STR - Warrior's Guild, SPI - Temple, PRE - Temple by donations). Expensive? Yes, but what about all gold giving bugs in the game (the "inn feature", etc.) 2. You can get 6 skill points per level (INT 24). The formula posted above does not cease to be valid at INT 16. Therefore, train INT to 20 in the guild. You get 5 skill points/level. By means of ankhs, you can continue up to 24. 24 is the limit. 3. When you reach Ishad N'Ha then you can add: DEX - Rogue's Guild, AGI - Bushi Dojo. Therefore: a) invest into those attibutes which you cannot improve by training: WIL, FOR, and until you reach Ishad N'Ha also DEX and AGI. This depends on how much time you want to spend in Valeia. b) If you are a Wizard then invest into SPI even if you can train it. The reason is the number of spell points you get every time you level up. The number is equal to SPI. The limit depends on SPI and, perhaps, on WIL. Therefore, you want sky high SPI as soon as possible. c) Everybody should have INT 20 at least. INT 20 can be achieved in the Wizard's guild by training. Reason: 5 skill points/level. d) A Warrior should invest into DEX and AGI. This speeds him up and makes him more efficient. Do not haste with STR. High STR means high carrying capacity but it DOES NOT mean high damage inflicted - only some weapons get the bonus. Swords does not get the bonus, I bet it! Instead of STR, train your weapon and then improve your STR. e) Of course, if you need to improve some attributes for role changing, do it now and do not hesitate. Also, invest if some of your attributes is unbearably low. f) Use ankhs only after reaching the limits of training/improving during level up. Therefore: INT, SPI, STR, DEX, AGI 20, WIL, PRE, FOR 18. Ankhs are rare. |

Don't forget to save the level-up in an extra slot before accepting in your main slot!
That's my way I take slot 7 and give him "a name of the level-up": 5-2-1 or 521 5 = Hitpoints 2 = Ability Points (Attributes) 1 = Skill Points So you never can forget the best level-up-points. It's a save between! Fallagar |
