I am in level 3 or so of watchers keep. There is a pack of demons that use Dire Charm on me and get at least half of my characters. How can I defend agains this?

yeah those will work but you can also pick up some very nice items that do the same thing. there are several swords magic rings, etc. that can protect from hold person, dire charm type spells. A low level one you should have picked up from BGII is Lilacor +2. However there are better ones I can't recall the name of in ToB

Actually, Lilarcor is a +3 weapon, if I recall correctly. The Equalizer also helps with this, and Keldorn's Inquisitor kit renders him immune to Charm (and I think Domination as well). Potions of Clarity, etc, etc.

Or, you should probably turn back, since you're too low-level to be doing the harder parts of Watcher's Keep. Go terrorize Amn, and come back when your Saving Throws are low enough to protect you from the Charm.

high wisdom will help as well as it rncreases your saving throws so if you have any potions of insight they will give you a better chance to save against the spell
