Fuel price
I was just wondering if it was true that here in the UK we have the world’s most expensive fuel?
Where I fill up with Diesel its £1.32 a litre, I heard on the radio that, that’s over $6 a gallon!!! Not sure how accurate that is. Unleaded is not £1.19 or £1.20 a litre What is the price near you?

Re: Fuel price
Beer math says:
1.20 GBP = 2.38846 (2.39) USD 3.78 liter = 1 US gal. 3.78 x 1.20 = 4.54 GBP 4.54 GBP x 2.39 USD = 10.83 USD

Re: Fuel price
117.9-120.9p here. It's a joke. I have a small 1.3l Ford Ka, it used to cost me £25-£30 to fill up, now it's more like £45! Makes me want to buy a bike...

Re: Fuel price
I wish I could cycle to work to!!
Last time I filled my truck up, it was on empty, it cost me £81.50!!! That's what about $160!!! I'm now trying to do everything I can to eek out every last mile from that tank, I'm hoping for around 500 miles. So one has got to do something about the price.

Re: Fuel price
Well I don't think the Govt are going to reduce the tax on petrol, it's too profitable. A huge chunk of that SHOULD go onto making up for the negative externalities petrol creates, but it most likely doesn't. Price will keep going up and up and we can't do anything about it - we need petrol, and will still need it when it gets to 150p a litre.
I remember about a year ago it was 80p and rising, everyone said "there's no way it'll go over a pound a litre". I wish it was still a pound

Re: Fuel price
I agree, I remember many many years ago (wow could even be 20 or more) when they changed petrol here to liter from gallons, they did that as it was nearing £2 a gallon, what will they do when it gets to that a liter!!
Change and sell it by the teaspoon!

IIRC, that would have been like a gallon and almost a quart? Maybe 1.2 US gallons? That would be a deal today! When last I was in Germany it was Euro 1.21 for Bleifrei, one of my recent students is in Baumholder and said it was Euro 1.99. That's 3.14 USD a liter. 3.14 x 3.78 = 11.87 USD a gallon!
