I 've already met Kol,and he told me about the back door, but I never got the heretic key.He's gone now, but not dead,will I see him again to get key? I have the spider nectar,servant book and incense,but can't get in snake head door.Still looking for last monkey idol.Also in middle of castle ruins quest, have all but one evil elements. Oh and what's up with the coin doors? I'm in deep. Please cast illuminate on my brain.

If you didn't get the key from him the first time - you cannot get the key. Now - you can restore your game and make sure you say "KEY" to Kol, or you can email me OR you can do without the key - it adds some to the game but is not critical. Wyv |

BTW, I found out on the Kerah Statue thing...Erzebette gives you the same information as the Statue if you talk to her enough, so you don't need to talk necessarily to the Kerah statue.
You do get three good Ankhs from that room, though. -Sazerac |

hint about the coins, try different combos of doors. BIG hint try saving ten or so coins ... you might need 'em out side of the castle....

The last monkey idol is behind one of the coin doors.
Here is a good hint that is easy to remember for the coin puzzle if you don't want the spoilers. I never used the spoilers and the first time through I was overwhelmed with the multiple combinations. When I figured out this trick, it saved me hours of testing each combination. One door opens with only one lever down. (Eyes lit up.) Two doors open with two levers down.
