...is staying home watching tv, surfing the net and playing video games. Now if only my voice would comeback and food would stay down I'd be a happy blissful camper.

Does anyone else get the flu in the summer? Or am I a fluke?

That sucks!
I have had the sandpaper voice thing going on for 3 weeks now, not flu, just a cold (I didn't feel ill or anything, just snotty and croaky). I hate it, cos I like to sing and I can't.
It's coming back now tho, should be right as rain in another couple of days!

Chewb, I think that if you are doing the things that you say you are doing it's unlikely you have the flu, maybe just a heavy cold or a 'flu-like illness' as we like to term it.

A doctor once told me that if you THINK you are about to die you've got a cold, if you KNOW you about to die it's the flu!

The other thing she told me is that if you go to your doctor you will recover in 7 days, if you don't it will take a week!
