Summer has settled in nicely, hot outside, anyone thinking it might be time for a trip to the beach? Put on your swimsuit and go for a nice early swim maybe? Look for shells washed up?

Take my dogs for a swim.

Can't keep them out of the water, but come bath time...a whole different ball game then.

Nothing like a good, rousing game of fetch to pass the day.

It could be a giant squid that is badly decomposed and eaten. I guess we will not know until that get some test results. From the pictures that would be my guess to.

A new species would be highly improbable, but not impossible considering the size and depth of the oceans.

Still a neat find.

Opps! The second image was a giant squid, I didn't relize they were different pictures. Not sure what the first onr is as I only made a guess from looking at the second. A giant octopus would be neat.

Yes the second picture is an already confirmed giant squid that washed up years ago. Dunno, the two pics seem very similar to me, minus maybe the arms/tentacles, which could have been eaten or rotted away. Blech!

Like this little fella ? I'll take a swim with that squid any day of the week over an encounter with THAT.
