Once you install ToB, the cloak's graphic is "updated" (Or down-dated if you share my feeling about the graphic!) and I wan't to know how to revert it in SoA. Or does it stay the same as it was in SoA even after installing ToB?
Thanks! |

Change the name in your override folder. Say it is clk001.itm, rename it to clk001.itm.new, and the game will bypass this unknown file extension and go back to the OG.
There are several sources for finding the actual itm name, as I don't have it right now.

The file to remove or rename is clck26.itm

quote: If you have downloaded the Infinity Engine Editor Pro from TeamBG then you may fix this particular eye-sore. Edit "clck26.itm" from your override folder and add the following equipping effect: disable visual effect, then choose the "spell trap" effect to disable. This makes all visual effects go away; you may leave the cloak like this or add the "spell turning" effect (glowing circle beneath your feet) back to the cloak. Once you load ToB, you'll also notice that the cloak doesn't work exactly like it used to in SoA....

It's not only a graphical change. It now absorbs spells instead of reflecting them. This and its crappy look made me refrain from using it as a beholder-killer (and I think it was intended that way)

Maybe they changed the use, but changing the graphic is a BIG mistake.
Anyway, I like the old useage as well as graphic. I don't suppose the ways of changing the graphic also change the useage back do they? Thanks. |

If you delete "clck26.itm" from your override folder then the old graphic and the old effect are back in place. If you simply disable the graphic like I did then the new effect is still in place.
