Here's a link to the original incident. In summary, he wanted to wear a kilt to a school dance in recognition of his ancestry. The principal told him to change or leave.

I could understand if its lice infested or something, but just booting him is a bit over the top, and stupid. Granted, now EVERYONE has the right to wear ancestral stuff, which might piss quite a few people off.

I've been thinking of getting a kilt... and I'm not Scottish (unless you consider the mass of all the Single Malt I've partaken of in my life.
They look comfortable, and I remember seeing movies of kilt wearing Scottish regiments in WW2... they looked badass! (or maybe that was just the bagpipes). |
