Astronauts onboard the International Space Station have been observing electric blue "noctilucent" clouds from Earth-orbit. What do you think causes these above the Earth clouds?

Question Mark

Particulate matter in the uppermost reaches of the atmosphere are bombarded by solar wind, ionized particles emitted by the Sun. This causes the particles to absorb and re-emit energy as visible light. Besides, they can also reflect light from the Sun.

These clouds happen after events like massive volcanic eruptions or near-Earth objects exploding near the ground (which throws dust into the upper atmosphere). Noctilucent clouds are why people in London saw a "blue moon" after Krakatoa erupted and why Londoners could read the newspaper at midnight after the 1908 Tunguska Blast.

rofl...ok but here is the kicker...there has not been an eruption for a while now, so why do we see them all the time?, and I see them alot here in arkansas, during the summer, so is it just earth debris, or is it crystalized space dust? or better yet.....it is aliens coming to take us away , but the day that columbia blew up, they had reported seeing the clouds in the southern hemisphere, but they entered into the northern hemisphere, so what really happened?

The dust sent that high can stay up there for years, even decades.
