Tilburg obviously isn't a very expensive city.
My costs are low, because I'm a specialist at low budget cooking, I can read all thinkable newspapers and magazines at school (Journalism), Internet only costs me 10 Euros a month (if I ever get it to work ) and most of the equipment I need can be purchased at very low cost through my school. Which leaves me with going out 6-10 times a month. Now, I found this really great place where it is rather quite during the week, and playing pool is free. I share the costs for drinks with the people I'm with.
And of course, public transport is free for students.
