I cannot understand why Real fired(sp?) Del Bosque? He did an excellent job,he is a great coach. They won La liga cup,but they failed in Champins League(juventus kicked their ass )...

Any opinions?

You have to realise that two national championships and two Champion League wins in four years aren't enough for some people

You know what i can't understand ? Why Real Madrid still exists in the first place. Year in year out they have a negative balance of at least 300.000.000 Euro, yet they still contract the biggest players on the block.

How do they pay them ? With the Spanish taxpayers money ? What kind of policy do they have overthere, cause here the banks would strip them of all their assets. Which is quite normal imo, a business that doesn't generate money, but instead only costs, has no right of existance. Real or no Real.

I heard somewhere, that the council of madrid, purchased their old training ground for the exact amount of their debt.

They fired him because, to sum up, they think that, although he is able to handle so many superstar egos, he can't get the whole potential out of the team because he doesn't know much about tactics.

And, about the money, they sold their training grounds (wich were in one of the main streets of Madrid) and got enough money to pay their debts, build another training ground out of the city and buy some superstars.

I've just read that Real Madrid has hired Carlos Queiroz, former coach of Sporting Lisbon and the Portuguese national team, as Vicente del Bosque's successor. As he surely is not one of the "big-name" coaches out there, I'd guess that the fact that his latest position was as an assistant coach with ManU played a big part in the decision to hire him.

Lemme see. Queiroz has a two year contract. Wenger has two years left on his contract. There's something going on but I just can't put my finger on it!

Two year contract ? More like a two game contract, that is.. two defeats, and he's history.

I wonder if Beckham will start or if he'll be coming off the bench.
