My winning party was a Paladin, Ranger, Thief, Cleric, Bard, and Mage (Diviner, actually, because you could cast most spells and the ones he couldn't cast, the Bard took over on those). For the most part, I had little or no trouble, except towards the final battle (and everyone has trouble there!)

My party was
paladin
ranger
fighter/druid (multiclass)
cleric
thief
conjurer

I took a conjurer because of the well, summoning spells. It helps out a lot allthough with How instaled. They get a big drawback as they get a second opposin school wich they can't use.

I used a party of 5 to get that little extra XP and level up that little bit faster. I played with a party of 3 before and they all reached level 30 far too quickly.

My current party is:
Human fighter (grand master 2 handed sword)
Elven fighter (grand master large sword)
Elven fighter, thief (specialised in halberd, axe, bows)
Half-Elf Cleric
Human Necromancer

I'm using a fighter/thief because he is comabt ready, has higher HP and a single class thief doesn't have any advantages over him except for levelling up faster (and thieving skills aren't drastically important in ICD )

I also don't like using rangers as the fighters level up faster, have a whole extra attack per round more and low level priest spells aren't useful once you get well into the game.

Jim lad, how can you complain about going to level 30 too quickly? Well, I can see your point. The thing is though, that I'm about to reach dungeon Level 4 in TotL, and I have a party of six ranging from 12/12 (Cleric/Illusionist) to 18 (Bard). With Icasaracht's area to go to, after finishing the barbarian camp, it only leaves me to go back to Easthaven. I'm just wondering what sort of level limit I can expect. Any ideas?

(Is this part of playing too many characters do you think?)

My party: Human Male Paladin, Human Female Thief, Human Male Transmutor (which now i regret, because before HoW, the only opposition school was Abjuration (and I have NEVER before used Abjuration spells), but now I am unable to scribe the Monster Summoning spells, Dwarven Male Fighter (19 Strength), Elf Male Ranger (which i also regret), and Half Elf Female Cleric (who by the way, due to HoW's new speel Alignment restrictions, i am unable to cast Resurrection, which screws me when my Elf Ranger, who can't be revived using Raise Dead, dies)
My character have very high stats in areas needed, but none of my stats go below 10. As mentioned, my fighter has 19 strength, 19 constitution, and 18 dexterity. My Paladin has 18/36 in streength, dexterity, and constitution. My thief has 18 dexterity, and over 115 in all of her theiveing skills. My Mage has 20 Intelligence, along with an 18/99 strength strength. My Ranger has 18/00 strength, 19 dexterity, and 18 constitution. And my cleric has 18 in strength, dexterity, constitution, and wisdom. I would also like to say that i never cheated making these characters, but that it took me 2 hours in rolling to get them this way... and its paid off big time.
