Harry Kewell, Mark Viduka and Danny Tiatto didn't make the trip. Captain Paul Okon, Kevin Muscat, Brett Emerton and John Aloisi all were allowed to go home to attend family weddings. And Craig Moore was suspended.

I've seen suggested elsewhere that a regular "ashes" series be introduced.
Oddly, all the Australians think it's a great idea. Might get some close games, especially if certain English teams actually let their players participate.
