It works on beholders too!
Against Kangaxx, not as good, it WOULD hit him but he can see through the sanctuary...and his saves are very high too...maybe greater malison will make it work better...or use a protection from magic scroll... ------------------ Yes indeed... |

There's a beholder in entrance of Beholder lair with Truesight spell. Hit him with Blade Barrier before he casts it, perhaps?

yeah, only the big-ass beholders have true sight, the other 'normal' ones & gauths are easy to kill with bladebarrier/sanctuary...

I used this tactic throughout the entire illithid lair in the underdark and didn't have to exchange blows with ANY of them! (I have 4 clerics)

Ha! excellent!, me getting up to the underdark soon and was going to try it against those flayers... glad to hear it works

Flesh to Stone, Stone to Flesh, Magic Missile - unlike standard petrification/smack, you still get the goodies. When somebody is unpetrified they have 1 HP left
