An old man sat by a fire with a travellers staff by his side. There was children all around begging him to tell them a story. After sitting for awile he started a tale.Once apon a time said the old man,there was a man named...

...a man named Fendril of the Hammer. He was a stout brute of a man, tough as an ox and quiet as a mouse. You see, Fendril was not very talkative in his latter days...after what happened to his friends. He used to be a member of a group of hired men that called themselves The League of the Hammer. They were 6 in total, all of them as big as the other, each wielding a massive war hammer upon his shoulder.

The league of the hammer had set out one night to recover a golden hammer of legend from the mythical wizard Mavoran. They found the hammer yet it was guarded by a huge black dragon along with hordes of other tresure. Fendril fled when he saw that 2 of his comrades had been killed the others badly wounded.He had feared that they were all dead until one day as he was choping firewood a message from his friend,who was also a member was delivered by a messenger.The message said...

deciding that a stationary life would no longer do, fendril packed up that night and set out in the cover of darness.

he left his small home and silently said good bye to the sleepy village. he started his journey heading south...

"Heya!"

A bubbly voice piped behind the group as Fendril stood there, considering the hefty price the slim elf was demanding. As all eyes turned to face the new arrival, they noticed a halfling with twinkling eyes gazing up at them in earnest.

"Take me, take me!" ~ She waved a sling at Fendril ~ "I'll go for free, I will!" ~ Suddenly dragging him down so she could whisper into his ear ~ "Don't tell anyone this, but a terrible curse has been put upon me... I'm a half-orc, really."

"Oh, thank you so much!" thanked the halfling as she was jumping about in joy.
