Former Captive
Visibly shaken, the former captive gulped to keep down the rising bile, and tried to ignore the sound of the others' retching. "Um...I hope you don't think I sound cowardly, but the smell (gulp) of the orc's remains will be attracting more predators. We should start going back to the campfire, or at least away from this spot and start a new campfire." The former captive looked at the bard. "Are you alright? Did you get bit or scratched by whatever attacked?" |

OOC: I assume I failed my CON check? The description is okay with me. You know, I just realised that all of Robin's plans has gone to the pits so far. The Gods must be laughing at him now.
Robin Clym Visibly weakened, Robin staggered back to the campfire and took careful breaths to remove the stench from within his nose. His body shivered slightly from the sudden loss of body fluids and the fact that it was a chilly night, but the warmth of the campfire soon calmed his body down. As he continued to huddle near the campfire, he looked at Skye and was relieved, nay, elated that she was alive. He wanted to go over and ask what happened, but she appeared to be too traumatised for questioning now. Perhaps they should all rest now and decide on a course of action in the morning. Throwing the firewood that he held in his hand into the campfire, Robin laid down and said to everybody, "I think we should sleep for now and move out tomorrow morning," turning his body to face the captive, Robin continued, "The fire should deter whatever lies out there, but if you wish, we can take turns on guard duty." |

Morning:
Other than the chill wind at deep night, the party had a restless but uneventful sleep. The morning sun's golden streak came as a welcomed sign. Lights struggled to break the eastern horizon's gloomy clouds, and shone weakly through its openings. Overhanging clouds congregated still, shadowing the lands and unwilling to give way to sun's presence. The vast gray plains lay before you, covered by miles and miles of broken plants. Their withered branches and leaves moved solemnly as the morning wind swept cross. [ 10-04-2002, 06:19 AM: Message edited by: 250 ] |

OOC:
Right now, it is Kythron 6th (June 6), 1369 DR. There is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED for you to memorize this calendar. I use it as to add atmosphere. I will explain a respective month's real name every time I use the calendar. say, Flamerule (July) like that. capicie? btw, the calendar's headline is written in Brush Script MT. The orc woke up with a loud yawn. His yellowish drools formed a small pool at where he slept.
"When we leave?" Grumm said as he scratched his head. "Me Grumm, me friend." He pointed to his chest with a stubby greasy finger, and gave a sheepish smile, "Grumm take you see boss? Boss friend." [ 10-04-2002, 08:31 AM: Message edited by: 250 ] |

OOC- 'scuze me for a minute.. *torches school and all hw and tests, while laughing insanely* sorry. im sooooo tired... -.- 6pm feels like 12am to me now.. *sighs* well, been away cuz ironworks was banning me and i didnt have access to the laptop, plus so busy with school.
btw, not too gory for me. Us teens like that kind of stuff. Skye Skye woke up at gray dawn and sat down next to the fire, staring at it tiredly. Usually she didn't wake up so early (or early at all, if she can help it), but the events from last night had perturbed her. She yawned and stretched. 'Stupid orc, if only he would have stopped running he'd still be alive,' she thought darkly to herself, scowling slightly at a piece of bark. She knew she was being unfair in her thoughts, but waking up so early tended to take a toll on her. Out of the corner of her eye she caught the ranger staring at her again. 'That's the second.. no, third time he's looked at me this morning,' she thought to herself, amusedly, while tugging her ear self-consciously. She gave a tired smile to the grinning orc. "Why don't we wait for the rest to wake up first, before we decide, ok? In the meantime, is there anything worth eating around here.. that didn't talk when it was still alive?" She gave a brief smile in the ranger's direction, then directed her attention back on the orc. OOC- sorry, Ornery One, I wasn't able to reply to your character's question, cuz it's already morning.. just pretend she was so out of it because of the event, that she didnt hear you. ^^; |

For a quick look, there didn't seem to be any sports around the immediate camp. You remembered the rations in the bag that you picked up previous night. [ 10-05-2002, 10:48 AM: Message edited by: 250 ] |

Ferji
The halfling sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Until he actually looked around, he half expected to be back in the familliar halls of his order. Reality could be a pain. Ferji doubted there was anything here alive at all, edible or otherwise. Since some of the others seemed still shaken from whatever happened away from the campfire last night, he knew there was indeed life in this desolate landscape. Probably something suitable for breakfast too, if you knew where to look. Unfortunately, the little paladin didn't. As he struggled to his feet, last night's pains flared anew. He could help these people find the path of righteousness and provide them some safety, but nonetheless he wondered if there wasn't a less painful way to do so. Probably not, he decided. Anyway, he'd been in worse pain during his bandit years. Ferji stretched and gathered the crusty mail. "A good morrow to all of you," Ferji said as his head popped through the proper hole in his armour. He already felt more confident around these stangers, for despite what happened last night he still knew little about them, at least they wouldn't mock him for his size. |
