Viconia and Keldorn...nasty problem, could use some advice.

Early on in chapter 3 I picked up both Keldorn and Viconia in my party. Shortly thereafter Keldorn initiated a very hostile dialogue with her, basically giving "one day" before he'd do away with her. At that point I figured I'd play it through and see what came of it.

It was a lot longer than a day before he made good on his promise (thus I completely forgot about it)...many many days and a ton of levels for my party. But now Keldorn has initiated combat with Viconia, they both drop out of the party and Keldorn kills her in a hurry.

Does anyone know a way to avoid this taking place? I'm at a bit of an impass with this one as I can't really afford to replace either Keldorn or Viconia as both are level 12+ and integral to my party. I'm open to any options or solutions here.

I had this same problem until someone on this board or another suggested that I put Keldorn in charge. This has worked so far, as long as Viconia is not right next to him in battle order--normally my order is Keldorn-Minsc-Viconia, but when I put Viconia in the #2 slot, Kelly got all self-righteous again, and killed her. But it's worth a try.
