Yeah the surprise was quite interesting..... Always thought that the surprise couldn't happen...
I like the little nods to the orignal move (intro and still having supermans original dad appear in his fortress of solitude.

Yeah I liked it too. I had serious doubts before going, but it turned out great.

It was good, no question... but I'm not sure Kevin Spacey was the one for the part of Lex Luther...

I thought Kevin Spacey was perhaps the best cast character in it.
I liked it a lot. Good flick. |

Haven't seen it yet but plan to now. It really does look good, have to say.

Superman Returns was not as much fun as Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Sure, Superman WAS lacking in classic British actors and pirates (which in truth is not its fault) and Kevin Spacey worked the hysteric angle instead of the menace angle (which is what made Gene Hackman's version the most infamous and commonly accepted). The secret surprise I wasn't expecting, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Lois Lane wasn't as hard edged as I was hoping her to be, but one can excuse that for motherhood softening her slightly. *winks* Oh, and it was GOOD to see James Marsden again. Now we know what happened to him after his role of Cyclops was cut severely short! *Muahahahahaha!*
If you are a fan of the Superman mythos, go to see it. [ 07-13-2006, 07:46 PM: Message edited by: Mozenwrathe ]
