Kak, I noticed that a lot of your gear is badge gear (Tunic of the Dark Hour, Trousers of the Scryers Retainer, etc). Is that considered T4 or T5? Because according to Shadowpanther those trousers are the 2nd best trousers in the game, but when I plug it into Vulajin's spreadsheet it only gives me a minor DPS advantage.

Armory isn't loading so I couldn't plug your gear into the spreadsheet.

For rogues, if you plug the "upgrades" into the spreadsheet. You won't notice any huge increase in dps. However if any other class use the same item and plug it into their spreadsheet. They will notice a huge amount of dps increase.

The big difference I notice is the DST. I notice a 30 dps increase if I have it. OMFG!

Also, try to have 2 T4 items with you. It'll give you a huge dps increase as well. If you take off the 2 piece T4 items. You will notice a huge decrease in dps.

Tunic of Dark Hour - T6
Master Assasin's Wristwrap - T5
Belt of Silent Path - T6
Trouser's of Scryers Retainer - T6
Nyn'jah's Tabi Boot - T6
Angelista's Revenge - T6
Crossbow of Rilentless Strike - T6

If you are using vulajin's spreadsheet and you have 2 T4 items. Try putting your cycle type as Xs/Yr and input 1X 5Y (at talent and settings).

I think old badge gear classes as T4/T5 border level, and the new badge items that came with the SWP patch count as T6 items.

So go for the T6 badge items asap

One more thing. How can I convince our shammies to drop windfury for us poor melee dps? Nobody ever drops it for us, they drop Grace of Air instead.

It's the raid leaders call. And it all depends on the group setup.

Warrior Tanks, DPS warriors and Rogues all prefer WF.

Druid tanks and hunters and shamans prefer GoA.

So if your group is say 2 x rogue 2x hunter and 1 shaman, he should drop GoA.

If its 2x Rogue 2xDPS warrior and 1x shaman he should drop WF.

Chances are, he is just being selfish. The shaman himself gets no benefit from WF, so will always prefer to drop GoA to boost his own DPS, regardless of the group.

If this is the case, send him a whisper, or your raid leader. Because being selfish and depriving the raid of what is best for the raid, its just stupid.

The easiest is to show him the numbers. If your guild have any forum you can screenshot him your findings.

Use vulajin's spreadsheet. Under the buff section you can turn the buff TRUE/FALSE. TRUE = Buff is present. FALSE = No buff.

For example.

Without anything : 2286.29 dps
With GoA : 2363.61 dps
With Windfury : 2536.64 dps

But of course, your group composition is another factor.

Thats just for rogues though, do it for a shaman, he gets more with GoA.

So, its all about group. nothing else matters

I know, since you already explain the group factor. I figured that I don't need to. so I only explain the rogue factor.

This is what is really annoying - even when we have 4 rogues in the raid (who are all in same group) this @#$% shaman won't drop WF because he wants to keep his personal DPS above 1000 when if he dropped WF the other four rogues (we all do about 900 dps without WF) contribute more to the raid. It's bullshlt.

That's really really selfish of the shaman. Group up with your fellow rogues and together with them (4 heads are better than 1) tell your raidleader of the problem.
